Summary of Job Description

To patrol all areas within and around the lodge including parking areas and gate entrance. Ensuring all areas are secure and safe.  Attend and respond to complaints a necessitated.


Performance Responsibilities                           

         Communicate daily with Supervisor and/or Front Desk Personnel in regard to security related matters and fulfill duties as assigned and ensure reporting is completed as required

         Patrol parking areas while making certain that guest and company property is secure; Work in and monitor traffic gate, screen guests and visitors entering and exiting;

         Patrol all areas within the lodge while ensuring private areas and guest rooms are secure;

         Attend to guest complaints in a quick and professional manner while keeping other guests best interests in mind;

         Attend weekly Health & Safety meetings;

         Monitor security system on a daily basis, ensuring all security cameras are in good working condition;

         Fulfill other duties as requested by Supervisor i.e. driving staff to and from staff quarters and assisting with shoveling or cleaning snow, garbage pick-up;

         Act as an ambassador for Noralta Lodge in all dealings with the public and staff;

         To be familiar with and carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with Health & Safety Policies approved by Noralta Lodge along with Occupational Health & Safety regulations;

         Such other duties that may be required that falls within the parameters of the position.


Personal Attributes and Knowledge: Employment requirements

         SSIA Security Services or Investigator license;

         High School Diploma (Post-secondary education an asset);

         Excellent organizational and time management skills;

         Excellent grasp of English language (written and spoken);

         Clean Criminal Record and good verifiable references; 

         Valid Class 5 Drivers License with a clean Drivers Abstract;

         Valid First Aid/CPR/WHIMIS certification;

         Ability to prioritize and multi-task;

         Ability to handle good physical stamina;

         Team Player;


         Demonstrate professional skill under stressful situations;

         Sensitivity and the ability to keep information in strict confidence;

         Ability to use sound judgment, tact and diplomacy while apply company policy;

         Ability to work cooperatively as a member of the team through personal behavior, work contribution and sharing of expertise and knowledge;

         Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multi task;

         Excellent oral and written communications skills;

         Respond to and investigate matters or emergencies as necessitated.
