Job Description

What is the opportunity?

RBC Dominion Securities Branch in Calgary, is looking for an experienced Associate to join their team. As an Associate, you will provide quality client service and help deepen relationships with existing clients through ongoing, efficient support to both clients and advisory teams.

What will you do?

Key responsibilities are focused around Client Service, Account Administration, Trading and/or Portfolio Rebalancing and Wealth Management Support.

Open new accounts, onboarding, and maintain existing account information
Coordinate meetings and events for Advisors with clients and prospects
Interact with clients on a daily basis by phone, email, and in- person, responding to general clients inquiries (account transactions, request for tax receipt, account reporting etc)
Assist in upholding advisory teams business plan, client service plan, and review schedule
Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to details, and liaise with various departments to investigate and resolve inquiries related to accounts and account transactions
Handle and follow-up on client requests and transactions from the previous day to ensure proper settlement and delivery
Complete various compliance-related projects
Execute and follow up trades on behalf of Investment advisor, review daily reports, dashboards and portfolios
Support team and client through wealth management process.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

IIROC licensed with a minimum of 3-5 years of industry/brokerage experience
Education in economics/business and completed CSC and CPH
Be motivated, independent and a self-starter
Exceptional client service skills, time management & organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks without constant supervision
High level of understanding of Microsoft Excel

Nice-to-have

Marketing experience
Willingness to participate in community and firm initiatives
