Your opportunity
Our downtown Montreal office is looking for a bilingual Business Development Executive (BDE) to strengthen its business development capacity in the province of Qubec specifically for our Consulting Practice Service Lines (Strategy & Operations, Technology, Risk Advisory Services and Human Resources).

The BDE s a central contributor to BDO Consultings pursuit of profitable revenue from new and existing clients within all industries, and particularly those mentioned above. The BDO Consulting Practice has set some very aggressive growth targets for the coming years and the addition of this role to the team directly complements the desire to achieve those targets.


All business development professionals are members of the BDO Consulting Business Development team. Our advisory approach with our prospects and clients, is to strive to understand their unique requirements before providing recommendations related to the evaluation, justification and implementation of the solutions that will best serve those needs. Similarly, all members of the business development team work closely with industry and service line specialists (Partners, Senior Managers, etc.) who significantly contribute to the deployment of BDO Consultings client engagement model.

The BDE will report to the BDO Partner leading BDOs Consulting Practice in Qubec and will contribute significantly to the larger business development initiatives of the BDO Consulting Practice in Canada. His/Her territory will encompass the province of Quebec, focused principally on Montral and Qubec, serviced by our 3 offices (2 in Montral and 1 in Qubec).

Detailed Responsibilities

Drive the profitable revenue needed to meet and exceed the annual targets assigned by BDO Consultings leadership team
Display credible knowledge of the 6 target industries and 4 service lines
Demonstrate an ability to become the advisor of choice and engage clients as early as possible in strategic dialogue
Manage the complete sales cycle associated with all client opportunities applicable to the BDE mandate
Leverage and coordinate BDO Consultings senior service line and geography resources within every sales cycle
Ensure that our prospects and clients experience the most efficient and effective engagement possible
Populate and/or update the BDO Consulting CRM system with data that allows the business to forecast with accuracy and to effectively mine this invaluable source of information
How do we define success for your role

You will understand the industries BDO serves as well as the BDO Consulting Practice
You will efficiently progress prospect and client opportunities through the sales cycle and in doing so will effectively leverage the deep industry and service line expertise that resides within BDO Consulting
You will lead our firm's revenue growth by prospecting, identifying opportunities and developing/maintaining strong relationships with all prospects and clients
You will recommend or present the best solution for our clients even when that solution may not perfectly align with the needs of all individuals within the BDO Consulting organization
You will work collaboratively with all relevant individuals within BDO Consulting with the intent of consistently leveraging the world-class skills prevalent throughout the organization
You will view the BDO Consulting CRM system as mission-critical
Your experience and education

Fluently bilingual in French and English
University Degree or College Diploma in a relevant discipline: BComm, BSci or similar
10+ years of proven business development experience, ideally in the systems integration space
Deep understanding of the consulting industry and the types of BDO Consulting engagements
In-depth knowledge of at least 3 industries BDO Consulting is targeting
Verifiable track record of success meeting and exceeding annual target sales in excess of $5M
Demonstrate a high capacity to maintain a good relationship with all prospects and clients
Strong oral and written communication skills
Dynamic and autonomous with a profound curiosity to stay on top of the latest trends
