Who We Are
Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canadas only pipeline system transporting crude oil and refined products to the West Coast. We deliver nearly 300,000 barrels of crude oil and refined products each day through 800 miles of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington State.
The Trans Mountain Expansion Project will provide increased capacity to support Canadian crude oil production growth and ensure access to global energy markets. The largest project in our history, it involves the installation of approximately 600 miles of new pipeline, new and modified facilities including pump stations and terminals, and a new dock complex at the Westridge Marine Terminal in British Columbia.
As a federal Canadian Government corporation, the newly formed Trans Mountain Corporation will continue to build upon our 65 years of experience delivering operational and safety excellence through our crude oil pipeline system.
We are accountable to the Parliament of Canada through the Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV). As a wholly owned subsidiary of CDEV, we are governed by an independent Board of Directors.

The successful summer student will assist the Corporate Communications team and support a variety of communication initiatives, including the maintenance of imagery within our digital asset management system.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Help support the development and execution of internal communications for Trans Mountain
Support the maintenance of the companys digital asset library, including uploading and cataloging imagery
Assist in imagery approval documentation and organize historical photos for re-digitizing if required
Research and write for the weekly internal newsletter
Support the groups Share Point site
Provide support to the Communications department as required
Required skills and education (field of study if applicable):
Actively enrolled in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a degree in a related field, with at least one semester of education completed
Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
Ability to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguity
Strong technical savviness; familiarity with taxonomy and metadata design and implementation preferred
Ability to multi-task effectively, with strong organizational and time management skills
Must be a team player with a positive attitude
Self-motivated, capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision
Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Attention to detail is critical
Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
