Job Description

Superior City Services Ltd has been helping businesses and municipalities as an infrastructure maintenance provider and is looking for enthusiastic, quick learning individuals with professional attitude to join our equipment maintenance team.

The ideal candidate should possess a good work ethic, positive attitude, and a desire to advance.

This is an entry level position with the opportunity for advancement. You may be required to work days, evenings, nights and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Responsibilities:
Shop Support

Assisting in and around the shop, warehouse, and yard as required by the shop mechanic
Helping with equipment maintenance such as changing filters and oil changes
Cleaning vehicles
Work within the framework of SCSs Core Values (Accountability, Commitment, Effectiveness, Teamwork)
Submit documentation as required, such as timesheets and required ISO and COR (safety) documents
Actively participate in the compliance of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance System and COR safety program.
Keep shop and yard work area neat and organized

Operator Support

Support the truck operator in fulfiling the work requirements

Perform work as instructed by the operator in a safe and efficient manner
Assist operator in various facets of the work being performed

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferably with shop classes
Valid Class 5 drivers license (Desired: with Air)
Computer literate and comfortable with computer software
Great job organization skill
Safety oriented (Desired: with safety related certificates)
Have experience working with mechanic and shop tools
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted (WorkSafe BC requirement)

Desirable Experience:
Preference will be given to individual with the following qualifications:

Min. 1 year of warehouse experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control
Experience with inventory control system(s)
Experience with Computer Maintenance and ManagementSystem(s) (CMMS)
Worked with heavy and industrial equipment
