What This Position Is All About:
Responsible for supporting the HBC Mainframe corporate environment. The role will be focused on delivering robust, stable and reliable IBM zSeries Mainframe and IBM iSeries solutions used to promote business operations and business strategies. Work in team environment providing support for all Mainframe zOS System, CICS and DB2 databases, building, sharing, and documenting knowledge. Work as lead supporting AS400 environment.

You are a demonstrated leader, who can positively influence a diverse team
You are articulate and easily able to put yourself in others shoes in order to explain what is needed step-by-step

You Also Have:
College degree.
Strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques
Strong communication skills both written and verbal to effectively operate with IT Leadership.
Strong ability to understand client expectations and to resolve issues that may affect delivery.
Ability to work in a team environment that are geographically distributed
Working knowledge of emerging technologies, a plus
Working knowledge of another IBM Platforms.
10+ years experience as IBM zOS System Administrator supporting large systems
5+ years experience installing and patching IBM zSeries
5+ years experience with IBM iSeries
Retail industry experience preferred

As the Senior IBM Mainframe Administrator, You Will:
Maintain skills in IBM Mainframe and DB2 Databases supporting, upgrades and configuration;
Adapt existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.
Understands and lead team with strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals.
Support the AS400 environment and lead effort to retire this platform.
Support Networking on Mainframe (VTAM)
Deliver timely and innovative solutions for HBC Mainframe zOS and database environments
Foster strong business partner relationships by communicating in easy to understand retail business terms and backup communication with actions that result in high sense of urgency and extraordinary business confidence.
Drive performance through the following metrics: (1) focus on service desk ticket reduction, and reduced time to close open tickets/issues. Deliver projects on time. (3) Deliver projects that consistently make user expected SLAs. (4) Deliver projects with thorough documentation and run books (easy identification of business impact of system failures). Provide 24X7 on-call production support for IBM Mainframe platform. Maintain backup and recovery process, including Disaster Recovery.
