Wheel Store It, a division of Andys Tire, is looking for a Warehouse Shift Lead to be involved in leading afternoon operations throughout the Wheel Store It Warehousing department. This includes inventory, receiving, putaways, picking, and shipping.
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this role will be responsible for ensuring daily operations meet and exceed expectations, while ensuring safety and positive customer interactions.
Key responsibilities include:
Perform a variety of system inventory adjustments based on requirements.Ensure product is being processed according to set standards while monitoring and reporting shipments.Document errors, variances, and non-compliance with operations policy and procedures.Receiving
Ensure that all inbound material is received, routed and accounted for properlyTrack all critical shipments or rush items.Picking and Shipping
Accurately pick and file all orders assigned.Ensure all outbound are shipped accurately, with the proper paperwork to include Bill of Lading, Packing List and proper Customer Paperwork.Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking shipped products.Coaching and Teamwork
Provide direction and proper motivation to team members to ensure the daily workload is completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.Train staff and monitor their performance and progress.Ensure productivity targets are met and maintain computerized administration and automated storage and retrieval systems. For example; ensure all invoices are scanned daily and signed by the appropriate shipper/receiver.Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the employees as well as their work environment.General Warehouse
Acquire knowledge of Company products and warehousing policies and procedures.Provide superior customer service at all times.Establish and maintain effective professional working relations, communication and coordination with customers (internal and external), vendors and Company personnel.Perform general daily housekeeping tasks within the warehouse.Attend and participate in department meetings as required.Assist and support office and department personnel as needed by effectively performing miscellaneous warehouse and customer service functions as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.Identify area of improvement and help adjust or establish innovative work procedures.Education and Experience
1-2 years previous leadership experience, preferably in a warehousing environment.Proven Leadership and Motivational Abilities.Previous customer service experience.Highschool diploma or equivalent.Forklift / Picker experience an asset.Fall Arrest an assetExperience working with RF guns and ERP systems (Costar)Skills and Abilities
Ability to think critically and analytically.Demonstrated strength in multi-tasking.Proven track record of performing well under pressure.Forward thinking and problem solver.Strong attention to detail.Willingness to work increased hours during peak seasons.Proficient in MS office and operational support systems.Can navigate Computer, RF Handgun, and Software with confidence.Maintain accurate parts inventory.Valid Drivers LicenseCapable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.Effective communication skillsAbility to work and collaborate with a team.
